Shadow2 Carry

Shadow2 Carry

Well I finally got some range time on the CZ Shadow2 Carry and I really am impressed. But also I’m not at all surprised at the gun as a whole. Let’s face it CZ has been making incredible firearms for years so why would this be any different. So far she’s pretty basic and I’ve only added a TLR-7X Sub and the Holosun EPS Carry.

The McKinatec MCT was an easy choice because even though the Shadow2 Carry is very similar to the Shadow2 Compact I didn’t want the hassle of ordering a holster that needed modification in order to be used. The MCT is universal so I can put the TLR-7X Sub on most of my firearms and still use the holster. For me thats a big win because I have boxes of holsters and I really want to downsize a bit. Remember if you want to order a holster at McKinatec you can always use 360TS as a promo code and save. Be patient with the lead times. McKinatec is a one man show and rather than increase pricing by taking on employees he prefers to do all the business duties himself so YOU save money and still get a great holster. Naturally this means they take a little longer than other companies.

My experience so far has been great with the Shadow2 Carry and I definitely recommend it. As of the posting of the review video I have hit the 1k round mark on the gun and it’s running really smoothly and accurate as hell. So now it’s time to upgrade a couple things and keep on testing. I mentioned in the video the pin hole under the optic and how sharp it is. It’s incredibly uncomfortable but the Vedder holster pad fixed that for me. This thing was a cheap addition that made a world of difference in my comfort level while carrying the Shadow2 Compact. Go take a look at these things if you need a little cushion between you and your holster no matter what gun you carry.

So far so good with this gun. I’m struggling to really find a true negative to it other than the price and current availability being pretty slim. Brownells has been a decent place to find them but if they are out of stock, try again in a couple days and don’t hesitate to place the order when they come back in stock. PSA is where I ordered mine and they go through the same issue as Brownells does. Honestly the Shadow2 Carry has been super popular right out of the gate so none of this is surprising.

At the end of the day who wouldn’t want a 4″, optic ready, hammer fired carry gun that is backed by a lifetime barrel warranty by a company that has a long history of excellence in the firearm community. If you want something that is different and has a ton of potential the Shadow2 Carry is a great choice.
